Klikat Screen Recorder is a Mac app that records your screen. It collects no personal data, has no accounts, and sends nothing anywhere.

What the app stores

Your recordings are written to a folder on your Mac that you choose — by default ~/Movies/ScreenRecorder. They stay on your computer. We never receive them, and the app has no cloud service to upload them to.

Your settings (format, quality, save folder, shortcuts) are stored locally on your Mac.

Screen, camera and microphone

macOS asks your permission before the app can record the screen, or use the camera or microphone. Everything captured is processed on your Mac and written only to your recording file. The camera preview is shown on your screen and is never transmitted.

Analytics and tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and does not profile you. It makes no network requests except to check your subscription status (see below).

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether the current Apple Account has an active subscription; the answer is a yes or no, and it is stored only on your Mac.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
